Electronic World – Return & Refund Policy

This Return & Refund Policy ("Policy") describes how Electronic World ("Electronic World," "EW," "we," "us," or "our") handles returns, refunds, and exchanges for purchases made directly from our consumer e-commerce website at www.electronicworldusa.com (the "Site").

This Policy applies only to purchases made on the Site. For wholesale, distribution, or purchases made through wireless carriers, retail partners, or other third-party sellers, please refer to the return policies of those sellers or to your wholesale agreement with Electronic World.

By placing an order on the Site, you agree to this Policy in addition to our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

1Summary of Our Return & Refund Policy

  • Return window: 14 calendar days from the date your order is marked delivered.
  • Eligible items: Most new, unused products in their original condition and packaging.
  • Defective items: Covered by our 1 year limited warranty for manufacturer defects; defective items within the first 14 days can be processed as a return or exchange.
  • Return shipping:
    • If the return is due to our error (defective, wrong item, damaged in transit): we cover reasonable return shipping.
    • If the return is due to a change of mind (no defect): you may be responsible for return shipping.
  • Refund method: Refunds are issued to the original payment method, subject to inspection and approval.
  • Non returnable items: Certain items, such as installed screen protectors, heavily used items, earphones for hygiene reasons (unless defective), and final sale items, may not be eligible for return except as required by law.

2Return Eligibility & Timeframe

2.1 Standard Return Period

  • You may request a return for most products within 14 calendar days from the date the order is marked as delivered by the carrier.
  • Return requests made after 14 days may be declined or handled under our 1 year warranty policy for manufacturer defects, where applicable.

2.2 Where You Purchased Matters

This Policy applies only if you purchased directly from www.electronicworldusa.com.

  • If you purchased Electronic World products from a wireless carrier, dealer, or retail store (e.g., Cricket, Mobilelink, or other partners), you must follow their return policy and process.

3Condition of Returned Items

To qualify for a refund under this Policy, returned items should generally meet the following conditions:

  • New or lightly used condition with no excessive wear, abuse, or damage.
  • All original packaging (boxes, inserts, manuals) and all accessories included.
  • Any bundled items or free gifts that came with the product must also be returned, or their value may be deducted from the refund.

We reserve the right to refuse returns or charge a restocking fee (up to 15%) if:

  • Items are missing components, packaging, or accessories, or
  • Items show signs of excessive use, misuse, or damage not consistent with normal testing.

4Non Returnable & Limited Return Items

Certain items are non returnable or have limited return options, except where required by law:

  1. Installed screen protectors that have already been applied to a device (HD Clear, Privacy, Red Light Therapy, etc.).
  2. In ear audio products (e.g., certain earbuds) that have been opened and used, for hygiene reasons, unless they are defective.
  3. Final sale, clearance, or "as is" items, clearly marked as such at the time of purchase.
  4. Digital products, if any, once delivered or accessed.
  5. Physical damage caused by misuse, abuse, or accidents (e.g., drops, liquid damage, altered products).

If a non returnable item is defective due to a manufacturer issue, it may still be covered under our 1 year limited warranty and may qualify for repair, replacement, or other remedies per the Warranty Policy.

5Return Reasons & How We Handle Them

5.1 Change of Mind / No Longer Wanted

If you simply change your mind or decide you no longer want the product:

  • Must be within the 14 day return window.
  • Product must be in resellable condition (see Section 3).
  • You may be responsible for return shipping costs.
  • Original shipping charges are generally non refundable unless required by applicable law.

5.2 Wrong Item Received

If you receive an item different from what you ordered:

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery.
  • We may ask for photos of the item and packaging to confirm the error.
  • We will provide instructions and, if confirmed, a pre paid return label or other method to return the incorrect item.
  • We will send the correct item at no additional cost, subject to availability, or offer a full refund if the correct item is unavailable.

5.3 Damaged in Transit

If your order arrives damaged:

  • Contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 7 days of delivery.
  • Keep the original packaging and damaged item(s).
  • We may request photos of the damage and packaging for our carrier claim.
  • Once confirmed, we will offer a replacement or refund, and we will generally cover return shipping where a return is required.

5.4 Defective Products (Manufacturer Defects)

Electronic World offers a 1 year limited warranty for manufacturer defects on all products, separate from this 14 day return window.

  • Within the first 14 days after delivery, defective products may be handled as a return or exchange under this Policy.
  • After 14 days and up to 1 year, defective products are typically handled under our Warranty Policy (e.g., repair, replacement, or other remedies).

In all cases, we may ask for:

  • A description of the defect,
  • Photos or video demonstrating the issue, and/or
  • Return of the defective item for inspection.

6How to Start a Return

To initiate a return:

  1. Contact us at orders@electronicworldusa.com with:
    • Your full name
    • Order number
    • The item(s) you want to return
    • The reason for the return
    • Photos or videos, if applicable (damage or defect)
  2. Our support team will review your request and, if approved, provide:
    • A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number or reference; and
    • Return instructions and, where applicable, a return shipping label.
  3. Ship the product back within 7 calendar days of RMA approval unless otherwise specified.

⚠️ Important:

Returns sent without prior authorization, returns shipped to the wrong address, or returns sent cash on delivery (COD) may be refused or significantly delayed.

7Return Shipping Costs

Who pays for return shipping depends on the situation:

  • We pay (pre paid label or reimbursement) when:
    • We shipped the wrong item, or
    • The product is defective or damaged in transit, and this is confirmed.
  • You pay (or we deduct from your refund) when:
    • You changed your mind, ordered the wrong item/model, or no longer want the product, and
    • The product is not defective and was shipped correctly.

We do not reimburse return shipping costs if you choose to use your own carrier and do not follow our return shipping instructions, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

8Refunds: Method & Timing

8.1 Method of Refund

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase whenever possible.
  • If we cannot refund to the original payment method (for example, expired card), we may offer store credit or another method, at our discretion and subject to applicable law.

8.2 Refund Amounts

Unless otherwise required by law:

  • Refunds include the product price paid, minus:
    • Any restocking fees (if applicable), and
    • Any deductions for missing components, damaged packaging, or non returned bundle items.
  • Original shipping costs are not refundable, except when the return is due to our error (wrong item shipped or confirmed defect/damage at delivery).

8.3 Timing

  • Once we receive your return, please allow up to 7–10 business days for inspection and processing.
  • After we approve the return, it may take an additional 3–10 business days for the refund to appear on your bank or card statement, depending on your financial institution.

8.4 Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not received a refund after the timeframes above:

  1. Check your bank or card account again.
  2. Contact your bank or card issuer.
  3. If you still have not received your refund, contact us at orders@electronicworldusa.com with your order and return details.

9Exchanges

We may offer exchanges instead of refunds in certain situations, such as:

  • Defective product under warranty
  • Wrong item received
  • You would like a different color/model of the same product (subject to availability)

Exchanges are subject to product availability. If the item you want is not available, we may:

  • Offer an alternative product, or
  • Issue a refund in accordance with this Policy.

10Promotional, Discount, and Bundle Purchases

10.1 Promotional Discounts & Coupon Codes

If you purchased using a promotion or coupon:

  • Refunds will reflect the discounted amount actually paid, not the full original price.
  • If a promotion required a minimum purchase amount, returning items may cause you to fall below the threshold; the refund may be adjusted accordingly.

10.2 Bundles & Kits

For products sold as bundles or kits (e.g., a power pack bag including multiple items):

  • In most cases, the entire bundle must be returned to receive a full refund.
  • If you return only part of a bundle, we may:
    • Issue a partial refund based on the stand alone value of the returned item, or
    • Deduct the full stand alone price of any kept item(s) from your refund.

11Gifts

If the product was marked as a gift at the time of purchase and shipped directly to you:

  • You may receive a store credit for the value of your return once processed, or
  • The original purchaser may receive the refund to their original payment method, depending on who submits the return request and how the order was placed.

For privacy reasons, we may not disclose the original purchaser's payment details to the gift recipient.

12Warranty vs. Return & Refund Policy

This Policy governs short term returns and refunds (primarily within 14 days).

Electronic World also offers a 1 year limited warranty for manufacturer defects on all products, which provides additional remedies beyond the return window, as described in our separate Warranty Policy.

  • Returns (within 14 days): Best for change of mind, wrong item, DOA, or early defects.
  • Warranty (up to 1 year): Best when a product develops a defect after you've been using it for some time.

13Wholesale & Retail Partner Purchases

This Policy does not apply to:

  • Wholesale accounts and distribution partners
  • Purchases made through wireless carriers, independent wireless dealers, or other retailers (e.g., Cricket or Mobilelink stores)

Such purchases are governed by the return policy of the seller and/or your wholesale agreement with Electronic World.
